Community Consultation April 2018; Results
Springfield was due to receive a ‘community benefit’ payment of £34k from Campion Homes in relation to the development at Laurel Bank. The payment is made directly to Fife Council. Springfield Community Council felt that the community should have a say in how this sum was spent.
So we carried out a consultation in early 2018 on what spending priorities the community had.

On the basis of these spending priorities as expressed by the community, we created a Spending Proposal to Fife Council.
Phones and Broadband
In a separate section of the consultation, we asked questions about landline quality, broadband and mobile phone coverage because we understood from residents that there were problems.
The consultation confirmed that there was a problem with noisy landlines in 5 of our postcode areas. This was followed up to try and resolve it.
These phone issues are separate and unconnected from the community benefit payment.
